PCO's small office at 53 Parliament Street has been closed and replaced with an office at 9 Whitehall.
Chief Executive
Jim Barron CBE joined the Office on 2 June 2008. Jim is to replace John Gilhooly CB as Chief Executive following John's retirement.
Promotions
Andrew Scott, James Stephens and Bernadette Walsh have been promoted to Deputy Counsel with effect from 31 March 2008.
Diggory Bailey, Paul Bedding, Philip Ember, Saira Salimi and Richard Spitz have been promoted to Senior Assistant Counsel with effect from 31 March 2008.
Secondments
Briar Gordon joined the Office on 21 April 2008 from the Parliamentary Counsel Office in New Zealand on a 1 year exchange with Nicola Holt.
Sadie Wright has joined the Office on secondment from the Government Legal Service (Department of Communities and Local Government).
Retirement
Helen Caldwell CB retired from the Office on 31 March 2008.
